The Lambuth Family Center is currently expanding our network of volunteers! We need volunteers to serve in a number of capacities from 8am-8pm during the week, and occasionally for special events on the weekends. If you think you might be interested in volunteering at Lambuth, please contact Katie Coler, Education, and Activity Coordinator at Kaitlyn.email@example.com or by phone at (720)305-4679.
Please see some of our volunteer opportunities listed below:
Because we do not have a full-time kitchen staff, Lambuth relies on volunteers to help keep mealtimes running smoothly. Meal service volunteers are not required to cook any food. Instead, they serve warm meals to families and help to clean up the kitchen afterward.
Shifts: 3 hours (4:30pm-7:30pm, Daily) - Shift lengths flexible
Daytime Facility Assistant:
There's always something to do at Lambuth! From dishing up lunch to starting up a washing machine to helping a student work through a math problem. Come join the Lambuth team and make a difference by creating a supportive environment for parents and their children.
Shifts: Your choice of hours (8am-7pm, M-F)
Class or Club Assistants and Leaders:
From art classes to family budgeting to sports teams, we are passionate about providing a diverse array of activities to both children and adults. Club leaders can either bring their own materials or use a curriculum provided by Lambuth. Assistants lend a helping hand during these clubs, making sure that participants have the gift of better, more individualized attention.
Shifts: 1 hour (6-7pm or 7-8pm, M-F)
This team of volunteers engages with program children (activities provided) while adult guardians are participating in on-site activities including social groups, house meetings, or educational events, and, occasionally, when guardians leave for off-site events.
Shifts: 1-2 hours (6-8pm, M-F)
It's amazing what a child can do with a little focused attention. Tutors work with very small groups of students after school on questions about homework. The ideal ratio of tutors to students is 1:2 so that every student has personalized help.
Shifts: 1 hour (4:30-5:30pm, M-Tr) - This timing is flexible
From time to time, Lambuth will have one-time projects; for example, building raised garden beds or painting a room. For these projects, we would like to be able to contact a consistent pool of volunteers: our Project Team.
Shifts: 3-4 hours (Weekends)
